We had a suggestion that since we were driving through Wales for Karl's birthday, we should see some of the sights along the way. That's mostly castles!! Wales is rich in medieval castles and a few of them were right in the route that we were taking!!
The first is Caerphilly Castle in southern Wales, near Cardiff. This 13th century castle never fell to it's attackers thanks to it's double wall design and man made lakes around it!
Then, we arrived where we were staying in just enough time to see Rhuddlan Castle in Northern Wales!
